Tony G, aka A&R of G-Unit, came by Capsule Barbershop for a fresh cut a few weeks ago! He was referred by the homie HOTROD of G-Unit and was down here in L.A for a few business meetings and studio sessions. Shoutout to Tony for comin by Capsule, see you in the chair next time your back down here!
The homie LIL ICE came thru the shop a few days ago for a fresh cut before his birthday festivites begin! I started cuttin ICE for about half a year now and he’s been a loyal client and one of our biggest supporters! For those that dont’ know who LIL ICE is, he is the son of the Legendary rapper ICE-T. Shoutout to ICE for always coming thru on the regular and sending some clients as well…Happy Birthday in advanced brotha!!!
A-GAME of Toronto flew out to LA for the first time last week and made sure they came thru to checkout and obviously get that fresh cut at Capsule Barbershop. A-GAME is on the come up in the music industry, they came down here to LA for a few meetings in hopes to settle down here and push their talents to those in the West Coast! Last week I got called up by Drakes personal barber, Jmac whose also a good homie of mine asking me if I was able to cut up Drake and the OVO team while they’re out here in LA. He was back in Toronto dealing with some stuff and wasn’t able to make it out here with Drake. Jmac was actually one of my mentors, he was one of the barbers I went to for advice and who showed me the ropes of the barber game. So Jmac plugged me in to meet with Drake and the team that night out in Beverly Hills to fade them up!
For all you that don’t know, i’m originally from Toronto, born and raised! I met Drake about 5 years ago at Jmac’s barbershop back when Drizzy wasn’t the big time artist he is today. So he remembered me from back when we used to see eachother at the shop and at a few parties and while I was cuttin him up we were pretty much catchin up on everything. I then got to meet the rest of the OVO team, CJ, Chubbs, and J. Future The Prince aka Drakes DJ is a homie of mine from Toronto as well as Niko who are also apart of the OVO team. I was with the fellas throughout the week making sure they were clean cut and fresh for any press or media coverage they had to attend. I was able to hear the TakeCare album while chilling with them and let me tell you it’s goin to kill the sales!
I’d like to shoutout my brotha Jmac for plugging me in with the team and to Drake, Niko, Future, CJ, Chubbs, and J for the hospitality and support! See you guys back in LA in a few weeks… YOLO
